I'm not sure if this should be in Off-Topic or here. It's a bit of both
Most of you know I've all but stopped collecting processors, but that I'm still around the forums. I thought I'd let you know what I'm up to these days.
I am collecting more modern x86 (and particularly x64) processors, which will all be getting tested/overclocked/benchmarked as part of the UKs biggest overclocking team. That means I also plan to have a selection of motherboards and will soon have a selection of systems set up for testing relatively modern processors (so far I'm primarily looking at P4 and Socket 603 and later).
Many of you know I am also writing news articles for the site, and some will have noticed I am writing a lot of GPU related news stories, among others. I am also working on a database of reference design graphics cards, after which I'll be cataloging details of every card that has ever been reviewed on some of the main review sites. This is for a project I'm doing with Genna to create a similar site to this for gpus.
I will remain active here, and expect to at least be catching up with new posts a couple of times most days, so giving up collecting vintage processors isn't going to take me far from here
If anyone has any preferences for benchmarks they would like to see used when I test modern hardware, let me know (in this thread or by PM) - I would like articles that cover hardware I have tested to include data that people want to see, which may or may not coincide with what I already use. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Nice one Debs
The 603/604 xeons I have been playing with single & dual setups.. but only basic bench marking
Personally I use copper base active fans in all my setups.. but I have no real info to consider this is the better alternative to passive heat-sinks
I guess.. over 80% of pre socket 771 xeons used passive setups with & without copper bases
bottom line.. if you are doing any over clocking... throwing in different heat-sinks arrangements would be interesting to see
One of my projects down the track is to place thermocouples into a range of CPUs and determine the thermal ability of different heat-sink setups at different loads _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:
