Hi,
I found a home in a box of poorly identifiable processor.
This is definitely the 486 CPU, but this version isn't in your catalog:

Code:

Detail of the inscription on the bottom:
Code:
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/571/unknowniiic.jpg/

On the two sides are glued labels. On one is difficult to see, but clearly readable number 622603-001.
On the other is very difficult to read type code (about): INTEL486(TM)DX2-66SL. Sticker I scanned and modified to be what most readable text:
Code:
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/576/unknowniiid.jpg/

Does anyone know exactly what processor is it? Is this a boxed type or is it only cooler glued to the "normal" processor and it would be better to try to unstick it?

Cheers

I agree with Rob. A lot of system manufacturers used aftermarket heatsinks. remove the heatsink and you should see a regular 486.

Also, instead of enclosing the image url in the "code" identifiers, use "[img]". Also, use the "direct" link frmo imageshack, and not the "link" url, then you can embed the pics:

I agree. It should be an SL-enhanced version of A80486DX2-66

i apologize for improperly inserted links. This forum allowed me to only 3 links for the post. Direct links, I did not want to give because of the size of images. If this is not a problem, so I'll do it next time.

Otherwise - I see that there are real experts - the removal of standard heatsink showed A80486DX2-66. S-Spec code was only just before - SX807.

thanks to all
