The dell Latitude mobo supports a fsb of 400mhz, I have a dead Acer Aspire with a Celeron M 575, which has a fsb of 677, both processors are 468 pins, although the d600 has a Socket 479/ Socket mPGA478C and the Celeron M has a socket P, would I be able to use the Celeron M 575,if so could I set the fsb of the d600 to 677 without damaging it, or would it be best to underclock to 400mhz mobo max? would it even work is the first question.

You need to find out what socket is in your dell Latitude laptop, then it will possible to tell whether the Celeron M may be compatible with the Dell laptop or not. Socket M, socket P and socket mPGA478C all accept processors with 478 pins, but the sockets are not compatible with each other. Please post what processor was in your Dell laptop.
