I have an IBM iNTELLIsTATION Z with 2 dual core xeons E5140
http://ark.intel.com/products/27217/Intel-Xeon-Processor-5140-(4M-Cache-2_33-GHz-1333-MHz-FSB)

i got 1 QUAD CORE XEON E5440
http://ark.intel.com/products/33082/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5440-(12M-Cache-2_83-GHz-1333-MHz-FSB)

Is there a point to switch those?

the comparison generic benchmarks I can find are

single 5140 >> 1510
dual 5140 >> 2957
single E5440 >> 4380

Thanks Neon_WA,
I think, scale is going towards doing swap, but before i will do that, i have decided to to run AIDA64 benchmarking, as well as PCMARK, PASSMARK and see if there's any significant difference in performance.

LOng time...
Anybody has a spare one to exchange to any other chips in need? I have a few spare LGA771 XEONS... or any other chips you may need - i have pretty extensive collection.
