Debs a story a few days ago about fake Core i7-990X:

http://www.cpu-world.com/news_2012/2012020301_Fake_Core_i7-990X_CPU.html

The most interesting part is the processor:

I would nominate it for a fake of the year Smile

These are actually selling on eBay, so be warned (read the last comment):

http://communities.intel.com/thread/27307?start=15&tstart=0

This could be the seller, or one of the sellers, who sold it on eBay:

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&ftab=FeedbackAsSeller&userid=osstore001&iid=120836598489&de=off&items=25&interval=0&mPg=463&page=8

I suspect in this case the seller didn't know what he was selling. Negative feedback for Core i7-990X is dated by March 9, so it was a different transaction than reported in Intel forum.

Interesting that it appears to 1st and last posts on the Intel thread appear to be from different posters.
