seems the first C7 has no official marking at all except some stickers. when comparing with the second C7. Is it possible that it is a sample ?
PS: both are in PGA package. _________________ My vintage CPU collection:www.cpumuseum.com

Likewise, $20 would be my maximum price. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Hi
i believe the blank one is a sample.
i bought two similar C7 (1500) last year
http://www.cpu-world.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6501&highlight=c7
just as you can see in that thread,
2 months later (mentioned in my 2007-5-9 post ) ,i was told that it is C5J N2 ES (a third person, not the seller)
by the way , it cost me 30 USD each |

C5J is the code name for the Esther core
This was used in C7 & Eden processors
Here is a variation on the C7-M CPUs found in micro-PGA
Same size but made in a BGA package, so caps are found on the top instead of the underside
Not sure why they made BGA in this size unless they intended to provide them as alternatives to BGA packaged Pentium Ms _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:
