Hello,
I bought a intel i7 mobile which has a TDP of 45W (i7-2820QM). It did not come with a heatsink... Does it need one? SInk and/or fan? Does a 45W CPU need specific cooling? (I'm mounting it on a KINO-QM670 mini-ITX board).
If cooling needed, any recommendation?
Tx

It doesn't come with the heatsink because notebooks use their own proprietary heatsink designs. Fortunately, many mini-ITX boards use standard 60mm x 60mm heatsink/fan. I use CoolJag heatsink with copper base on my socket G1/G2 boards:

LogicSupply also has cheaper version of this heatsink with aluminum base. NewEgg has SUPERMICRO SNK-C0054A4L, but I never used it.
