I cannot seem to find any data on this nice chip which I believe to be Military Spec.
The Bottom side is blank
Any help is appreciated and thank you in advance

Atmel is a big player in ASICs, Controllers and FPGAs.
Very likely it is a military or aeronautical ASIC or FPGA!
But I have also seen a lot of gold plated Atmels like this before on
special boards for huge telecommunication systems.
Alas I cannot remember if they had a double-triangle, I think not. _________________ Ordem e Progresso |

The number does not fit in any DSCC drawing-, SMD-, MIL- or ESA SCC- number scheme I know.
It looks more like a custom part number to me.
Therefore I would also suggest something like a custom FPGA/ASIC
