Can someone tell me the difference between these 2 CPUS

XEON 2.8GHz 1Mb 800fsb mpga -Active
XEON 2.8GHz 1Mb 800fsb mpga- passive

I am looking for 2 CPUS for this board....

ASUS NCCH-DL Dual xeon 800fsb motherboard

Is the passive and active just to do with cooling and in what way...

thanks in advance

"Active" or "Passive" tells what kind of heatsink or fan/heatsink you will get. There is some info and pictures here:
