mint drive works great i was going to use it in a project i was doing but i am switching projects and building a 486 machine not really sure what its worth i know they dont make this model anymore and the ones on ebay are quite expensive

Not sure if it's worth much, as IDE CD-RW's are a dime a dozen. I probably have 30-40 from anywhere from 8x to 48x, all makes and models, lying around in my storage room that I have no use for, but they work, so i never threw them away.

any 40/12/40a's? best plextor on the planet i think its a 32x heres a review http://reviews.cnet.com/cd-drives/plextor-plexwriter-40-12/4505-3207_7-8751538.html i listed it on ebay for 175.00 thats 25.00 less then other's are selling it for so hopefuly it will sell soon even if i get 30.00 i would still be happy i only paid around 15.00 for the whole pc

I've got a 24/10/40a right behind me, and it still works.

Do you think I could get $200 on eBay for it? I paid $172 for it new in 2001.

na they where crappy then and they still are beats me why the 40/12/40a are so expensive

They DO have CPUs in them.

Haha yeah. You'd be amazed at some of the weird CPU's I have in my collection from various weird devices.
