I'm not one to look at benchmarks much, but I was wondering about differences between these 2
mainly the "PCMark05 Memory score"

does the 2125 have a dodgy memory controller?

Core i3-2125 has faster GPU. You can see it on 3DMarkxx and PCMark05 Graphics score graphs for processors, tested on ASUS ASUS P8H61-M board. PCMark05 Memory scores are just flakey, and I couldn't figure out why. PCMark2002 memory and CrystalMark memory have more consistent results.
