Hi

anybody heard of a 'project" called Sirius at Alpine Microsystems and also is there/was there a semiconductor company called Burroughs? I have some 3" wafers and they have this name on the outside of the storage boxes along with device '9320', '9314' & '1469' - can anyone shed any light on these names and numbers?

Burroughs was one of the largest mainframe producers in the world.

In September 1986, Burroughs Corporation merged with Sperry Corporation to form Unisys.

Burroughs did make various ICs

ID'ing burroughs stuff is hard, but any wafer from 1976 is cool

I have seen ICs marked with the Burroughs logo (only) altough I'd assume they were manufacturered by one of the other chip makers. Burroughs was big perhaps second to IBM

Here is a nice little Burroughs Chip I own.
Would Love to know what it is Confused

I once found a nice intel White Ceramic C4004 Chipset in an old Burroughs Check Encoding Machine.
Burroughs was big in the Banking Industry
