Hi,

I once had a problem similair to yours. Although my system did not beep. I found out that the videocard was not inserted fully into the AGP slot.
Make sure the card is pushed fully into the slot.

I hope the computershop can help you, a very fine card the 6600!

Dam the computer shop called me and said the card works fine, cause they tried it in another system. they told me they will ring me tommorw to give me a full report of what the problem might be. Hopefully nothing is damaged Sad

Oh yeh, just in case they tell me to try a different card, would an eagle geforce 6600 (not gt) 256mb have much of a performance loss compared to the jetway 6600gt 128mb? will that still be able to play games like half life 2 and doom 3 nicely?

The 6600gt is much faster than the 6600, the 256mb of ram means nothing until you start doing high res gaming. Keep in mind that the memory on the 6600GT is GDDR3, while the 6600 is DDR1.

umm thats strange the computer store replaced the card and said it was faulty even though they said they tested it before and said it worked fine. anyway they replaced it and it works now yay Very Happy. But i still have a problem, when i use 3D mark 05 it says that the core clock speed is 299.3 when it should be 500 Confused Also when i run the demo in 3D mark 05 it sometimes crashes and restarts the compuer, then while its posting it will 'say disk boot failure' and the only way to fix it is to turn the computer off then on. It used to do this before i got the new graphics card aswell. does anyone have any slolutions to these problems?
