the 'v' is fairly common. all chips marked with a 'v' have been made by National Semiconductor, I have not yet determined WHAT the V means. _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

Maybe V mean newer technology process.
Example :
Cyrix MII 300 goldcap without V have 0,35 micron
Cyrix MII 300 goldcap wth V have 0,3 micron _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |
