i have a laptop toshiba satellite p755-s5320 with motherboard k00128590 LA-6832-P it is a G2 socket.it comes with a intel core i3-2330m@2.20Ghz 2.20Ghz. Core i3-2330M (PGA) 2 / 4 2.2 GHz 3 MB 35 Watt SSE4, AVX, HT, VT.

I would like to upgrade the cpu to at least a i5 or i7 cpu and i am not sure if my motherboard would handle a faster cpu in it. or would it be better to sell the laptop and start over on a new one.. It will mainly be use for games.
thanks for your time

What chipset do you have? If you have HM65, HM67 or QM67 then you should be able to upgrade to faster dual-core or quad-core Sandy Bridge processor.

Edit: I think you have HM65 chipset. You can upgrade to:
