Hi All, I am (again) at a loss when identifying a CPU.
The only identifying marks on the CPU are:

guessing P3 (not a P2) Xeon
without plastic cover will be hard to work out speed or sSpec
Chook has a large selection of naked Xeon slots.. so he maybe able to identify at least cache size _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

Looks like PIII Xeon Cascades 1 or 2 Mb "5/12V".
For exact freq. you should test it.
Exact Sspec is often impossible to determine, only indirectly by CPUID. |

Its a 2MB Xeon with on die cache, so it would be either a 700/100/2M or a 900/133/2M. _________________ General failure reading disk in drive A

Something I haven't checked is whether the 2.8 volt Xeons look different inside to the 5/12 volt versions. _________________ General failure reading disk in drive A

Chook, how do you know it's not a 1Mb one? |

I had another look at my Xeons and you are right. It could also be a 700/100/1M. There is no difference. There also does not appear to be a difference between 2.8 and 5/12 volt varieties. _________________ General failure reading disk in drive A
