Looking to the Neon's sales I want to suggest some rule.
We all live in different time zones and many sales started in the night because of time differences.
If we recognize ourselves as collectors and not as dealers we should respect each other.
In one groupbuy John (sorry if I mistake) suggested to give one pice in one hand.
I want to suggest to give one pice of same type of CPU in one hand at list for first 24 hours of the sale.
I think I'll be more comfortable for all of us.
Misha. |

I guess you did not completely understand the most inportant sentence "I want to suggest to give one pice of same type of CPU in one hand at list for first 24 hours of the sale." from Libkin.

I think he is saying that if you are selling multiples of a chip, each buyer can only buy one chip each for the first 24 hours of the sale. I think this restriction should be up to the seller to decide. _________________ General failure reading disk in drive A

i talked to John suggesting same rule last year... but in the end this shouldnt be a rule.. this should come from buyers .. even if x sell 5 pcs of a cpu, i'll buy only one to give others the chance to buy it... _________________ https://www.facebook.com/CPUCollectionRO |

I'm sorry about my English. Yes, that's exactly what I ment.
I think it can be something like: priority rule. |

Usually if a member buys 2, and you miss out you can ask if you can have the extra one
Sometimes though members NEED a pair (usually for say Xeons for server use/testing) _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

Don't be too serious for cpu collection. (You may say it's not fair because you're not located on the seller time zone, but it's the reality.)
Cpu collection is for fun and not intended for argument.
CPU is no longer be interesting if too many rules. I hope the seller has his freedom to sell his cpus.
When I was a beginner many years ago, I wanted to set many restriction here to make me have more chance to buy more cpus at cheaper price. Now I know this thinking is not correct. |

I post my sales at night, because thats when many people are awake in other time zones (and when I have free time lol, not waiting in the line at the post office to ship AVICC packages) _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

imho it's not about rules but about wishes for sellers.
As buyer:
Sometimes I buy here several the same chips as group buy for friends (russian forum).
As seller:
If you want everyone to get one chip from you sale just say "one pice of same type of CPU in one hand"
Or if you have 10 pcs you can list just two and say "maybe can get extra". The first buyer can get two but other would ask for extras.
Or just set a little bit high initial prices and reduce later to made non-quick sale (to let many members ta have a chance)
Some sellers would like to make quick sale.
Up to just to sell all at once. And they have a right to.
imho it's like fishing. One day you get a lot of basses and next day you get nothing. (but someone who prefer to do fishing at night got a lot). It's OK. _________________ My Want List: http://www.cpu-world.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22729
