can anyone tell me how to find out how old my processor is its an
AMD Athlon XP Thoroughbred 2600+ FSB333

Take a look at the line below the part number, it should look like this

SSSSYYWWXXXX or SSSSSYYWWXXXX

S - stepping
Y - last two digits or manufacture year
W - last two digits of manufacture week
X - who knows...

For example, manufacture date for a processor with second line AIUGB0248TPAW is 48th week of 2002.
