Yeah, it's great hack, surprisingly discovered only about a year ago.
But you need to slightly modify the mobo socket.
Many 771 xeons are dirty cheap now, so this is very interesting upgrade solution. |

| I've actually been considering ordering some on eBay. I stumbled across this a few weeks ago, and have an old EVGA 780i SLI FTW board I was going to try dropping a quad core Xeon on. |
