today i got this tool .. never seen anything like this before..
is it for fixing bent pins? or?

This is intended to remove the processor from the socket. Usually this instrument was in BOX version Intel CPGA CPU.

I have a similar tool from a TI based 486 upgrade chip that has very thin straight sides that I use as a pin straightener, so you were sort of right!
