For the last 6-8 months Russian government tries to find the way to minimize the number of purchases in non-Russian e-shops to protect Russian e-market.
As the result they want to make new customs rule. Today DHL announced that customs inspection process was changed on the one of the largest air customs station: Sheremetvo (Moscow). The result is unpredictable. It may stop all international goods correspondence to Russia.

and sadly and for no reason, our romanian government instead being pro-occidental (like it was in the last 24 years ) turn pro-russian now ....

with CPUs shouldnt be a problem, being old merchandise.... and gifts and trades ...
p.s. the way i send the cpus in envelopes as correspondence goes through customs or directly to home ? because when i send them i can go to any post office without customs post office and/or customs be involved ... anyon can tell me ?

inside EU yes, but outside you have to fill out customs declaration (CN22 or CN23). Theoretically you can send package as normal non-registered just throwing into post box. But, believe me, it's nothing pleasant when you receive a call from customs and you have explain what have you received, who send it to you and how much custom (don't mention tax  ) you have to pay because the sender was to lazy to fill CN.

i can only send cpus in an envelope as tracked correspondence .. and i sent to CHina, Australia, USA.. even Russia.. and everything was ok.. without any declaration.... this way the price is 3-4-5-6 euro / envelope ..depend on the weight.. if i send as parcel, the minimum shipping cost in around 22 usd because all under 1 kilo have the same shipping cost.... and even as parcel is damn complicated to send with custom declaration and with value ( i must attach invoices of purcase for the chips i send) ....
hopefully sending this way will remain ok ...

I'm only sending parcels I never had to send small amount of chips outside EU. Yes, that't true it's a little bit complicated to fill all these papers. It's one point from all the things I love in EU I can send everything to almost thirty countries without any documents, forms and duties

I had one problem only when Pascal sent me 4,5 kg parcel using EMS. In Russia they don't call you, they send telegraph message (yes, it still works here) and ask to come. It's one of the most corrupted service in Russia, so you never know the result. I showed everything, including photos and they passed my parcel. But I know some stories with dramatic result.
Never send unregistered mail to Russia. I didn't receive any of it (from Chook for example). |
