I found quite a few of these stack assemblies and was hoping you guys could help me determine its value. Generally we do e-waste recycling but these looked too cool to grind up. I'm assuming it' RAM but not sure. Any insight as to what it is and if there is any collectable value? Thanks

30th week of 1971? Nice!
A lot of memory for that era.

old technique, late production date. like an Intel P4004 dc 8022:-)
... which might be the reason these survived, they were produced when noone wanted core memory any longer;-)

I just spoke with the son of the old owner of these and he said they are coming from CPU's in the 4300 series. He mentioned 4341, 4361 and 4381 as model #'s.. Big mainframes I'm assuming.
These are just a drop in the bucket as far as the vintage IT equipment we're getting from this estate. The man who collected these has 2 10,000 sq ft buildings filled to the ceiling with old mainframe and other components.
He used to work for IBM in the 60's and started a repair business there after. He began to hoard components in the 1970's and his family has contracted with us to reclaim the precious metals from all of it. We're a recycling company but I just hate to see some of these things get destroyed. I'm not an old man but some of these items belong in a museum. I'm going to start posting pics and hope you all can give me insight into what some of these components are.
Stay tuned for pics!!
Thanks

If the date code of 1971 is correct, this memory is certainly
not for the IBM 4300 series as they came out in the 80's.

I would love to own a processor card from the 4331 / 4341 / 4361 / 4381
mainframe CPU's as I used to buy / sell / lease them in my younger days. Cool

I wouldn't mind picking one up. Also, i'm located in Wichita Falls, TX, and wouldn't mind driving down to DFW and taking a look around, if you're open to selling some items directly. If interested, shoot me a PM.

I am also in the metroplex. Although not an expert in vintage IBM, if you have a lot of stuff that should be in a museum, I would be willing to help out with finding a new home for those parts. Feel free to contact me via PM or email.
