First one is either a Deschutes Pentium 2 (350, 400, 450) or a Katmai Pentium 3 (450, 500, 533, 550 or 600) Without the case it is impossible to tell the speed. Might be able to guess by various date codes on chips.
Second one is a mobile. The bottom line of code in the rectangular white area will tell you what it is. I can't quite make it out. Looks like 300mhz. _________________ General failure reading disk in drive A

First one should be not faster than 550 MHz,
second one no faster than 450.
Third is pentium 2 mobile 266. |

Thanks for quick responses!
To summarize, do you mean like this?
3 front:
Deschutes Pentium 2 (350, 400, 450) or a Katmai Pentium 3 (450, 500, 533, 550 or 600)
Not faster than 550 MHz
2 front/rear:
Deschutes Pentium 2 (350, 400, 450) or a Katmai Pentium 3 (450, 500, 533, 550 or 600)
Not faster than 450 MHz
1 front/rear:
Pentium 2 Mobile 266 MHz |

Whoop, didn't realise that there are two slot one chips.
The slot 1 chips are either Deschutes or Katmai. After a quick check, all my Deschutes and Katmai slot 1 chips have no print on the bottom panel of the main chip - like your photo 3f. _________________ General failure reading disk in drive A

Unfortunately I'm only collecting the CPUs, so I have no possibility to test them..
Anyway, thanks for helping out! |
