After monitoring price on resale AMD Athlon II and others I've wondered why the high price?
Also, if buying used how can one determine if the owner has unlocked cores and overclocked to overheating and thus dumping the item before it collapses? |

There is no way to know whether a seller has unlocked or overclocked a CPU if they don't tell you. Can't comment on prices.
