I got an Acer Aspire 3005WLCi for free. it has an sis 64 mb gpu in it. i was wondering if it was possible to like buy a new one and put it in myself. and if so how would i go about doing that (a good card, etc)  |

Hmmm SIS actual is worst VGA in notebooks but there is one variant. You can buy VGA on PCMCIA. I saw GeForce 2 MX some years ago so maybe they continued line of PCMCIA VGAs.
EDIT: Forgot to say it will be much more expensive - not payable. It is better to buy new notebook than upgrade old. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

| The PCMCIA VGA cards were completely software driven (e.g. must PCMCIA and card drivers before it would work) and performed terrible. I'm not sure any of them would be an upgrade. |
