Hello!

I'd like to help by taking the missing die shots, but unfortunately, I haven't found most of those chips yet because they're so rare and difficult to get. Aberco has some of them waiting in plastic packages but he hasn't unpacked them yet or unpacking failed (at least MIPS R4300i).

Anyway, Intel 960Kx is easy because I've taken a die shot of 960KA and released it at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Intel_80960KA_die.JPG.

Then DEC SA110 (StrongARM) is among the ones that are waiting for release, so I'll try to release it soon or send you a raw version if you don't want to wait.

Power1 and 1+ die shots should come in one or two months because I've got all dies of those chipsets that aberco unpacked.

Then looks like you haven't noticed a couple die shots from other sources. ARM810 is hidden inside http://www.hotchips.org/wp-content/uploads/hc_archives/hc08/2_Mon/HC8.S4/HC8.4.1.pdf at usable but not very high resolution and Z80000 is at http://camelback-comparch.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/z80k.jpg.

Then Computer History Museum has some in their collection:
- WDC 65C816: http://www.computerhistory.org/collections/catalog/102652465
- Intel i432: http://www.computerhistory.org/collections/catalog/102652366, http://www.computerhistory.org/collections/catalog/102652367 and http://www.computerhistory.org/collections/catalog/102652385
- ARM810: http://www.computerhistory.org/collections/catalog/102652344
There are other interesting ones also like PowerPC 603, 603e, 604, 604e and PA-8000 but you'll likely have to pay to get them.

I've also found NexGen Nx586 die earlier posted at some forum that I couldn't find anymore, so I attached that pic.

Have you then found high-res die shots of IBM Power 3, PowerPC 601, PowerPC 604, MIPS R2000, R4200, Motorola 88110, PA-8000, Clipper C100, DEC Rigel, DEC NVAX, DEC LSI-11, Zilog Z180, Z280 and UltraSPARC I that are still missing in my collection, for example? I know that 400-600px wide versions of most of those are available but have you got any better ones? Anyway, I should get Motorola 88110, DEC Rigel and many other chips from aberco in January, and I'll take die shots of them.

Anyway, I hope that we could compare our collections to get the best possible collection of die shots.

Hello Birdman

Wow, thanks for the pic and pointers, thats so great. You are welcome to send me the StrongARM image in RAW format, how do we do that? i guess the file is to big for email?

Unfortunateley my "collection" only consists of what i could find through Google image search, but you are welcome to look through them if you like Smile

Yes we are in the process to cover more, but some are very hard to find. For example: I don't think that AT&T Hobbit passed the prototype stage and went on for sale.

If you can help finding the missing chips, then we can also help documenting the missing dies Smile
