Here is a photo of my tray of CPUs.

Which CPU do you think is rarest or would be your favourite?

For some reason Math Coprocessors & 386s are something that I like to collect...

Here is a link to a higher resolution photo if you need Very Happy

Yes it is a nice little board! unfortunately I've never had the chance to use it, but I believe it should work Very Happy

I would probably swap out the FPU if I were to use it.

My favorite are Tulsa series Xeon microprocessors ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xeon#7100-series_.22Tulsa.22 ) and Intel Xeon E5-2637 ( http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Xeon/Intel-Xeon%20E5-2637.html ). I have a thing with dual core/dual processor with hyperthreading Very Happy

I see a few pieces that I like or I'd like in this picture.

The purple metal IBM 6x86MX has been one of my favourites since I got my first two dozen CPUs (I have a 233 and a 300 of this series, the 233 is of a lighter shade).

The one I miss the most is probably a 387SX, like the one on your Kingston module. But 387s are generally cute!

The Nehalem i7-870 is still a rarity to me because I only have older CPUs, up to LGA775 and AM2. Even the main computer runs a Wolfdale E8500@3.8GHz, at default voltage, plenty fast for me now.

I also like Socket 4 Pentiums. They are heavy and impressive, like little PPros (I know, they're of a different shape).

Motorola 68030 and 68882: a nice pair. I've just procured a 68020+68881 and was happy to have them Smile

Overdrives with factory attached heat sinks are cute too, my girlfriend likes them (and the 387s too!) Very Happy
