I won a lot of so-called "mil-spec" IC (it's like total of 40 lbs) on eBay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7569088611
Got the chips yesterday, and NONE of them are Mil-Spec... Not even one. The seller agreed (on the phone) that I can return those to him, so I am driving down to San Jose and hand those to him.

There are some Intel, Motorola and AMD EEPROMs and some unknown ICs, and I thought I can show them here...

Hm, I expected a icon_peace but not this icon_anger

but you're happy when you can return, often there's no chance when you buy such a "surprise"

I am pretty sure the IDT chip with 3 gold lids is a memory chip. I bought and researched a similar chip with 8 gold lids recently.

The NS32082 is a memory management unit per chip directory:

If you have any trouble returning you could probably get most back, or even make money, by selling as gold scrap on ebay if you take some pics that show all the gold and use key words "gold recovery" in the description. I recently sold a lot of about 250 gold ic chips - many of them small memory chips and got around $130. Don't worry guys - there were only a couple processors in the lot and they had issues like missing pins.
