Hi there,

Anyone who knows of any source of information for the earliest chips (TI, Fairchild)?
I would like to branch out my collection to include some of the earliest ones but I can't find a lot of information on them. Not even on TI SN502 that is said to be the first chip commercially available.

I dislike spending money on something I know nothing about (as opposed to something I know just a little about). Maybe we could by common effort compile a list (sort of like the intel guide) of the very earliest chips?

To begin with I've purchased a TI SN510A as that seems to be quite early.

Would love a TI SN502 but they don't seem to be generally available.

Anyone who can assist with production years (and numbers), rarity etc?

Thanks. Smile
That is a very nice page with lots of useful information and more or less the only information I have been able to find so far. It would be great with a list of types, rarity, production numbers and production years however. As well as some information on packages and naming information.
What is the difference between an SN510 and an SN510A for example? I assume it's because it is a (much?) later version?
