Hi,

Today i got three CPU's with the heatsink 'glued' on the CPU with some kind of thick thermal paste. The CPU's were AMD's, but the bottom did not have any print so i had to remove the heatsink to see what kind they were. I removed the heatsink and the print got stuck on the paste so the CPU was printless. It was only a 486 but unfortunately for me one of them was a DXL!

I have stil one CPU with the heatsink glued on it, is thare a save way to remove it?

Yes! With heat from a gas burner. But be very careful, in some cases the bottom cover flew away with Mach1 or so Wink
