The VIA one is a C3 (based on a winchip) it is a low voltage, low performance, low heat CPU, Socket 370
The IBM is IBM's version of a Cyrix MII, Socket 7 CPU 249Mhz or so (3x83) _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

Im in the making of a picture library with all sorts of cpus, but i think i found some clues already...
Check here http://www.recode.se/cpulibrary/Cyrix/MII/333/library.html
The IBM looks like a Cyrix MII with an aluminum heatspreader only that yours is missing the heatspreader.
The 3lg* that you got is also on the Cyrix MII with black heatspreader.
It might has been sold as an IBM or in an IBM machine?

Ok, i have not started sorting IBM MII:s yet. It seems like IBM continued to call theirs 6x86MX?
But the small golden arrow fits the Cyrix MII. It might be more versions with the gold arrow on both sides...

You got me stumped with the VIA C3.
The Samuel 2 had a model which ran at 750MHz, but at 1.6v, the Ezra ran at 1.35 but every doc I've found so far indicates it started at 800MHz.
I'd be interested to know what I'm missing here. And I'm sure it's not a hybrid of the two _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
