As per title, just wondering how many members collect different ram sticks? and if you do, do you check to see if they work? in which case working motherboards will be part of your collection too I would presume. _________________ CPU = One of the most ingenious inventions humans have ever configured and assembled. |

There are a few that do
Could be fun to collect a stick of each type (DDR, etc)
I have some very large DIMMs from IBM POWER servers, but I do not collect them _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

I do not collect ram sticks specially, but have ~5 Kg of
FPM, EDO, BEDO, SDRAM (SDR, DDR, DDR2, DDR3), RDRAM
in DIP, SIPP, SIMM 30 and 72, RIMM, and different DIMMs.
And mobos for all of them. |

Hehe, my answer is a combo of the last two;-)
... to be serious, years ago there was an auction of - I guess I remember - 30-pin SIMMs with grey-traced i2102 chips. That would be something I like.
Nothing of the rest. I just keep them if I find them.
Maybe I sell some kilos for scrap somewhen. _________________ You may use the photos I have posted here under CC BY-NC-SA license. |

Yes, it seems if one goes cpu hunting, motherboards & ram are not far behind, heck, sometimes they even come joined togeather..hehe...
Meh, I just keep whatever comes my way eg. salvaging old systems or keeping an eye on bulk quantities @ auctions..etc..
I must be getting too attached to my pc hardware, don't want to discard anything that works..
I'm finding RDRAM PC1066 is pretty rare these days... _________________ CPU = One of the most ingenious inventions humans have ever configured and assembled. |

I recently scrapped about 5 Kg of RAM, from 30 pin moduels of to some massive DIMMs from servers. I guess I should have thought about potential collectors before scrapping them - I know if I ever getanother boxfull like that:) _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Do you really have BEDO? If so, I would like to take some |

| I think bedo was an urban legend. Back in the day, I was looking for them - but nobody had them. Not even micron (who invented these things)... |

I did pick out a few Bits that I am intending to keep though including some old IBM Silver tops and some Dips with the Pins rather that the Fingers. _________________ The Older they are the Better they are. |
