"Intel leaving the Personal Computer market to focus on the Cloud."Surprised

What does this mean for the CPU?
What will this mean for CPU collecting?

They are not getting out of PC's only shifting focus to other areas.

They'll still make plenty of CPU's, and infact more for some segments

I think the shift towards mobile devices comes with a shift away from socketed processors. The BGA processors are harder to find and collect. If you want a working one, then you have to buy a whole motherboard, which increases shipping cost.

Definately

More cloud means more datacenters which means for xeons too though hehe, tough even that is going lower profile, lower energy

Also find out Intel cuts 12,000 positions in order to focus on the cloud....

feel sad for Intel employees...
