Interesting!
And I like the C8051
But is the 8051 without physical ROM (ROMLess),
or is the ROM section of this Microcontroller just a
PROM without the erasable EPROM capability?
In other words would the die for the 8051 and the 8751
(Microcontrollers both w/RAM and ROM(?))
basically be the same just like it is for the
1602/1702 (PROM/EPROM)? |

No, not for the 8051
8051 and 8031 are same die (ROMless vs MaskROM) but EPROM version is different, and has slightly different specs/features because of it. _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
