Here are some interesting ones
These are made by Digital Technology Inc, in 1994, a subsidiary of Dynatech, they were later sold to Systran, which then was sold to CurtisWright (of airplane fame)
They are a dual MIL-STD-1553 bus transceiver (NSN 5962-8864406XA)
MIL-STD-1553 is the standard communication protocol used by most all military systems
These are pulls, but are neat chips packaged in an unusual 36 pin CDIP with 2 dies (each die handles one channel)
$6 each or 2 for $10
