The socket G like one is unusual we had a GB on ones with the heatspreader years ago

AMD Unmarked (though maybe it was and wiped? hard to tell) Mechanical Sample Package: 29995

Super cool!

I remember that socket G group buy, those were neat.

Ridgeback was on the roadmap, but got cancelled. It was going to be Phenom 4-core for desktop, socket AM2+, 45nm process, 6 MB L3 cache

THe socket G one is of course keyed way different too, I noticed this when I tried to put it in a tray, and it wouldnt fit LOL

Recent AMD samples are usually laser etched rather than printed. I guess this is really a blank sample.

Love the old bare dual dies! Nice ghost thread!

How hard are the caps to remove? A few G34 on the shelf begging me to go to work on them now..

29995 is definitely a "standard" socket G3 chip. It was common for early ES chips to be completely blank. None of the G3 chips I've seen had any markings. Let me know if you ever decide to sell it.
