The socket G like one is unusual we had a GB on ones with the heatspreader years ago

Super cool!
I remember that socket G group buy, those were neat.
Ridgeback was on the roadmap, but got cancelled. It was going to be Phenom 4-core for desktop, socket AM2+, 45nm process, 6 MB L3 cache |

Recent AMD samples are usually laser etched rather than printed. I guess this is really a blank sample.

29995 is definitely a "standard" socket G3 chip. It was common for early ES chips to be completely blank. None of the G3 chips I've seen had any markings. Let me know if you ever decide to sell it. |
