Last days shows how gold become stronger. Gold scrap prices from CPUs will raise too.
What do you think, how much will cost 1 oz of pure gold in the end of this year ?

My vote is 1800 USD.

31-12-2019 at this day we will see who was the nearest Smile

I would bet on the GBP being worth less than a Euro by November 1st. Not too sure about gold though Smile

The funny thing is that so many of the things that these gold scrappers buy up, in hopes of getting lots of gold out of them, have little or NO gold in them.

As an example, almost all of IBM's products have ZERO gold in them, but these stupid "scrappers" on ebay drive up the prices on auctions and snatch them up all of the time. Even the gold colored pins on almost all of IBM's modules that use them have ZERO gold in them and they're just a mixture of gold COLORED metals and other metals.

Another great example of the stupidity of these scrappers can be seen if you just type in "scrap gold" as an ebay search term and then look at all of these gold colored lumpy bars of supposed "pin gold" metal that a bunch of sellers in Israel sell on ebay all of the time.

If there was any serious gold content in those bars do these scrapper idiots really think that the scrap metal people selling them in Israel would ever actually sell them so cheaply??? If there was any serious gold content in those bars they would just continue to refine them and then sell the gold that they got out of them in Israel...

It's a shame that these scrappers are so often stupid and mis-informed, because they just drive up the prices on many items for the rest of us for NO reason and they're just getting themselves ripped off in the process...

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't most of the gold in gold-bearing chips from the bond wires connecting the die to the pins? I always figured that the gold caps and pins were just a "gold flash" and not really all that much gold.

The die bond wires have a decent amount of gold content in them and SOME pins and lids and caps etc. are also lightly plated in a very low percentage of gold.
