| Does anyone know what the earliest production datecode of a Cyrix, ST, or IBM 5x86 is? Wiki mentions August 1995, but what has been uncovered? |

Did you happen to log the earliest datecodes for the following Cyrix 5x86 speeds?
80
100
120
133
If so, would you be willing to post them? _________________ The only thing I hate more than straightening CPU pins is having CPU's with bent pins in my collection. |

Thanks a lot!
Unless I messed up with my calendar, I am getting 27 1995 as the first week of July 1995 for an engineering sample and 28 1995 as the second week of July 1995 for a non-engineering sample. Is that correct? But you are saying that there are indeed some from mid-June?
Interesting that the 5x86-80 came after the 100 and 120. Were they failed 100/120 units? I have a 5x86-80GP with G5F8539K. Not sure what the date on my other 80 is (I did not photograph it). _________________ The only thing I hate more than straightening CPU pins is having CPU's with bent pins in my collection. |
