Very nice set!
By the way, what is the difference between 8085 and 8085A? |

There were some slight changes
the HOLD input does slightly different things (ALE is NOT tristated on the A and IS on the non-A)
INTR is sampled on the last cycle of an instruction on the 8085 and second to last on 8085A
There was also numerous timing changes, mostly tightening timing for better performance (data is valid sooner, or longer)
This helped allow for higher clock speeds _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

Thanks a lot for the valuable information!
The difference between 8080 and 8080A is well known, but I could not find any information about 8085.

Very nice collection! I wonder why Intel didn't make a white ceramic C8008? _________________ General failure reading disk in drive A

Probably because the purple was what was available (Intel bought the packages, they didnt generally make them) _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
