|
|
Hi, Im thinking to buy a Canonlide 120 or 220 to scan all my chips, but Im not sure if this scanner is the best one ti do it due its a cheaper one and maybe can have some issues to scan the step in the back side (xenon).
Anyone use this scanner to do it? |

Those are CIS based scanners which will not work well for chips
You need one that is CCD based as it will have a depth of field that works well for chips
I currently use a Canoscan 5600F _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

All Canon CCD scanners are good for that job : 4400, 4600, 5400 and CPUShack's 5600.
Canon LIDE are good only for 2D documents scans. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

Yes. I try to be careful with pinned processors, but after years of scans, the glass plate of the scanner has many small scratches. |

I have a 1/8" glass cover plate on mine, cost me like $3 at the glass shop , and I replace it every few months, so no worries about scratches _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
