| Hello i have a Intel LA-6771P 43196730L10 motherboard and a hm65 chipset the cpu socket is a 989. The compal pbl21 says i7-2820QM is compatible but when i was going to buy it the i7-2820QM says its a 988. Does anybody know or can help me with this? |

| you can check with cpu-z. if it shows a PGA989, it won't work with a 988 cpu due to physical conflict. |
