The '582 BCD ALU is one I had not known about before, it operates on 4-bit BCD (Binary Coded Decimal) data specifically. A bit different than the standard 181s.

1x TI SN74181J Original 4-bit TTL ALU Ceramic Very early 1971 Dates $5
SOLD OUTx TI SN74181N Original 4-bit TTL ALU Early 71-72 Date $5
3x Fairchild 74F582PC New Old stock 4-bit BCD ALU $4
3x IDT 7381L25J 4x 381 -4-bot (so 16-bit) ALUs on one chip New Old Stock New Logo $5 - Reduced to $4

1x IDT 7381L25J 4x 381 -4-bot (so 16-bit) ALUs on one chip New Old Stock New Logo $5 - Reduced to $4
If you find any IDT 7383, I'm interested.

1x Fairchild 74F582PC New Old stock 4-bit BCD ALU $4
Interesting how it breaks with naming conventions where x81 is the ALU and x82 is the lookahead carry generator in previous series.

Even more fun, is the Signetics 74F582 is an Octal buffer LOL (as is the Signetics 74F581)

So Fairchild used an existing part number LOL

Hmm, the 1987 Signetics data book has the 74F582 as 4-bit BCD ALU (same as the Fairchild above) and there's no 581 listed. http://bitsavers.trailing-edge.com/pdf/signetics/_dataBooks/1987_FAST_Data_Manual.pdf

Maybe they changed it later?

This is from the 1983 IC Master

Yeah, I saw that in IC-master too. I guess IC-master got it wrong. I would believe the manufacturer's catalog more.
