Have datasheet for 8089. Need datasheet for 8089A. Suspect 8089A
was introduced around 1983-85.

Thanks,

Microsystem Components handbook (1985) has only 8089. 8089 is not listed at all in 1987 data book. May be 1986 data book has this information?

I've got IC Masters going up thru 1987. The '87 IC master lists the AMD 8089A but still shows the Intel 8089. The Intel 8089A is not in my 1982 Intel Data Catalog (it still has the 8089).

I know the Intel D8089A exists (I have a photo of one). The copyright
date on it is '79 '83

The copyright date on my D8089 is '79

But I'm not sure this means anything other than I know the D8089A was
in production in '83.

Kind of odd since I've got some '85 Intel books that like the 8089 but don't show the 8089A.

On www.bitsavers.org you can find databooks with info on the 8089 (but I didn't spot the A version in these books):

1988_Intel_Microprocessors_and_Peripheral_Handbook_Volume_1.pdf
9800722-03_The_8086_Family_Users_Manual_Oct79.pdf

Hope this helps, Bernhard
