Right - bought this purely out of curiosity and paid a hell of a lot for it in a bundle of other bits - The other bits however, where worth it for me (The 386CX's and the Mech Sample)....
Is it of interest to anyone here? do people collect these?
This one is apparently a 387 CPU Silicon wafer. _________________ 4000+ chips.

I'm frightened to ask you about price
In Poland weren't any CPU factories so it's imposible to get thing like that. Very interesting item so if you like show us what you want. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

I'm embarrassed to say the price in case I paid to much... it was a serious amount of money, even for me.
If anyone wants to make an offer, it needs to be a serious one. Please PM me if you really want it. _________________ 4000+ chips.

Sorry for 3 posts in a row - but here is the pic of the wafer close up.
I can provide more detailed pics if anyone is interested. _________________ 4000+ chips.

I am receiving several PM's on this so here are a couple more pics - 1 of an exposed die, 1 of the chip top, and a closeup of the wafer _________________ 4000+ chips.

be daaaaamn careful with those. i had a small wafer, i cant remember what chips it was, but the thing eventually broke when someone was handling it it was surprisingly brittle when it broke, it felt very sturdy beforehand.
also if you get fingerprints on them, they wont come off. dont even try to clean them, youll probably break it lol
put it behind glass and never ever touch it |
