I grew up on Windows 95 and up so DOS, BASIC, Assembler are not my strongest points On 486 motherboard booted DOS v7 fine but even AIDA16 or Memtest doesn't work. I have tried DOS 6.22 and without success too. Those programs works fine on newer boards like Socket 7. I think there is something with cache options in BIOS. Volcov Commander (file manager) works fine so mentioned apps use something different to run.
Mobo : NICE mini EISA, CPU : Intel 486 Overdrive 66, 16MB SIMM 30 pin, 256k cache external on mobo. Screenshot from BIOS settings.
Any suggestions ? _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

Other tool named Astra was a solution. I will take a look around for memory test tool compatible with 486. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |
