What does CPU World recommend for benchmarking cpu's, speed test,
stress test etc for comparison purposes? Test objects are AMD Phenom. |

Depends on what you're testing.
Single thread performance, multi thread performance, etc.
Different benchmarks test different things.
For stress test, w/AVX instruction sets or without? |

I will try to get more specifics and thanks for reply.
I think, since this is a request of an email chum that he wants to compare the speed and or efficiency between his Phenom (older, less cores) and the
one I recently installed.
Quite frankly I don't know all the terminology.
To sum it up I think he wants to know if the upgrade is significant.
Just on that note, could he not use the data between his and others in
your comparison section? I recall seeing this some time ago but failed to think of it til just now.
Or it might be a check on running XP vs Win7 with the alternate hardware. I have to get more detail. |
