Congratulation to France and Russia as host of this great sport event ! Anyway I kept fingers crossed for Dream Team from Belgium but France was a better "team" in this match Smile
PS. Soccer is used only in USA. Football is right name for rest of the world. Even Australia has changed their league name from soccer to football Smile

So... congratulations France! Une deuxième fois, vous pouvez mourir tranquille !

While Switzerland failed at round of 16 again...

We won, that's great, but we should also admit that we didn't deserve to win that match. Croatia was better than us.

6 shots, 4 goals. France team was efficient, what was not Croatia. They had ball possesion but scored too few, and one thanks to our goal... They had best looking game but to win, you need to put the ball into the goal. And Croatia was not able to do that.

Best team won.

They did, but one goes into their own goal. Both France and Croatia scored three goals. Very Happy We're French and we're happy because the french team won, but objectively, their football was bad. Nearly all non-official commentators agreed with that at half-time, including former '98 champion Franck Leboeuf on BFM. If that penalty was granted to Croatia and we consecutively lost 2-3, all french supporters would have complained about it. Moreover, it's hard to acclaim Kylian Mbappe for his nice goal while he got a yellow card for unsporting behaviour (and was proud of it!) the previous match. Sure, I totally understand that only the result counts, but it's not really the football I like to watch.
