|
|
So I found a badly mangled intel single board computer SB80/10A board at work today.
It had an unusual chip on it. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a D8080, but I'm not sure how to verify that, as it doesn't seem to have ANY markings aside from the date code underneath.
This wear is not consistent with the other chips on the board as shown below, so I believe it was unmarked (for some reason?).
Is this a normal thing for some of these chips? Is it possible for all of the markings to be completely absent like this? It seems too "clean" of any markings to just be wear, but I could be wrong. |

marking on those early D packages came off pretty easy.
Thats a nice early dated one too, most likely they got rubbed off somewhere along the line (often they had stickers put on them from various reasons which didn't help)
Thats quite the nice board too _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
