Yeah this one is an oddball. I bought two of these things awhile back to pull the laser tubes out of em and cause all sorts of mayhem with them.
I got one Helium-Neon laser tube and never got around to pulling the tube out of this one.
It's in pretty nice shape and resembles a raygun. Would make a fun project to anyone wanting to dabble with REAL lasers.
It's listed as a 1mW tube, but the one I pulled looks closer to 3-5mW.
You can power the tube off of a PC power supply. The integrated transformer takes 12V DC power and 5-12V DC (power toggle). This will require complete disassembly of the unit.
I can provide the buyer with a basic wiring diagram for powering the tube off of molex power.
And just as a safety warning to anyone who has no clue about old-school tube lasers, the transformer puts out some kinda scary voltages, and the laser tube kinda-sorta acts as a capacitor, so be sure to respect the tube.
Even if you'd rather keep it intact and try to interface with it (It uses a 9-pin connector, but the interface is NOT standard RS-232), it is still a neat piece of vintage tech. This one is dated to October of 1988. Pretty good shape given its age.
$20, free shipping to AVICC. Direct at cost. _________________ My collection |

| I would like to take a clooser look. I'm not sure about it has a real laser tube, as laser tubes tend to be big. Is a physics requirement. How much shipping to Spain? |

Our customs probably will not pass it though +)

Helium-neon laser (see the yellow label) can be done only with gas tube, so it is. |

It absolutely has a HeNe laser tube inside. I believe it's a 6" tube rated for ~1mW.
I will get back to you on the shipping cost. _________________ My collection |
