So I bought a whole bunch of unmarked pga478 chips expecting them to be mech samples, but then one actually POSTed!
Are there any known examples of functioning Merom-4M A1 stepping chips?
These seem to be pretty darn early too, 39th week of 2005.
Here's a CPUID dump.
CPU-Z validation.
For reference, my test system is a Dell XPS M1710 running the A07 bios.
EDIT: HWInfo64 identifies it as QJUD.
EDIT2: I have some of these with a date code of the 34th week of 2005, making them potentially the earliest known working Core 2 chip. (at least in my timeline)
